Teaching That Shapes Thinkers and Leaders
From clear concepts and hands-on discovery to confident expression and lifelong values.
At Swaraj India Public School, learning is shaped through clarity, exploration and real understanding. Teaching moves beyond textbooks and becomes an intentional craft. From early years to senior grades, students engage in project-based learning, hands-on activities, guided research and meaningful expression, ensuring they grow into curious thinkers with strong conceptual foundations.
Concept-Driven Beginnings
From the earliest years, learning is rooted in strong concepts. Teachers use project work, experiments, field visits and custom-designed worksheets to transform ideas into real experiences. Spoken English, creative expression and scientific inquiry become part of daily learning, helping children articulate and understand, not simply memorise.
Guided Discovery in Middle and Senior School
As learners progress, they are trained to research, analyse, debate and present. Interactive panels, science and computer labs, a media studio and a resource-rich library support meaningful discovery. Students connect theory with application as they prepare for ICSE and ISC board learning.
Assessment and Holistic Growth
Continuous assessment replaces exam pressure in junior grades, allowing teachers to identify learning needs early. Beyond academics, every child participates in sports, arts, leadership and service. Values like perseverance, empathy and national pride are lived daily through assemblies, house activities and the Student Government Body.

Modules
Learning Modules
At Swaraj India Public School, education is designed around holistic growth. Experiential learning, value education, inclusive participation and academic support nurture confident, thoughtful learners, while comfort-first policies and sustainability initiatives ensure student well-being beyond the classroom.
Bagless Project Periods
For two weeks each year, primary students learn without heavy bags through activity-based modules, audio-visual sessions, field visits and teacher-designed worksheets. This period encourages joyful learning, creativity and hands-on engagement.
Value Education Sessions
Every morning begins with reflective discussions on ethics, global issues and life philosophies like Ikigai and Hygge. These sessions nurture emotional intelligence, awareness and thoughtful decision-making in students.
100% Participation Policy
SIPS ensures that every child participates in each of the annual sports, science, literary and cultural events. This builds confidence, teamwork and equal opportunity for all learners.
C-Cube (Career & Counselling Cell)
The C-Cube Cell supports students with academic, emotional and time-management challenges. In-house counsellors provide personalised guidance to help them navigate school life with balance and confidence.
Comfort-First Uniform Policy
The school has replaced traditional blazers with soft fleece jackets and formal shoes with comfortable sneakers. This shift prioritises student comfort, mobility and a modern approach to schoolwear.
Intra-Class House Activities
Students choose from a range of competitions in music, dance, oratory and more during a dedicated activity week. This encourages creativity, self-expression and peer collaboration.
Academic Improvement Classes
Regular support classes help underperforming students strengthen foundational concepts and build confidence. The goal is to motivate learners to progress steadily at their own pace.
Light-Bag Schedule
Teachers from Grades 1–12 plan subject-specific days so students carry only what is necessary. This reduces physical strain and promotes student well-being.
Vocabulary Enhancement Program
Students from Grades 6–12 learn two new vocabulary words daily, shared by their class teachers. These words are discussed the next day, improving communication skills and language fluency.
Go Green Initiative
Since 1999, SIPS has maintained a public green belt opposite the campus in partnership with the Kanpur Municipal Commissioner. This reflects the school’s long-standing commitment to environmental responsibility.
Educational Tours & Outstation Trips
Structured trips for middle and senior students expose them to diverse cultural, historical and geographical experiences. These journeys deepen learning beyond the classroom and help students develop real-world understanding.
Home-Grown
Leaders
The Student Government Body (SGB), established in 2005, is a defining leadership tradition at Swaraj India Public School. Students from Classes V, VII, IX and XI are entrusted with significant roles such as School Captain, Vice-Captains, House Captains, Marshals, and Cultural, Sports and Literary Heads. These positions give students the opportunity to practise responsibility, teamwork and disciplined citizenship through daily action.
