Academic Programme

The school provides a full spectrum learning programme through an integrated curriculum in a stimulating and caring environment. The structure of the school, its programme of study and activities foster the development of the whole individual with opportunity for cognitive, aesthetic, physical and emotional growth. Education here is not synonymous with textual literacy but is more akin to skill building. SIPS seeks to endow each child with an analytical outlook. We encourage children to explore, experience and enquire. We endeavour to educate them not only for career but also for life.

Continuous assessment through year-long-cycle tests is yet another unique feature of our junior curriculum. A highly competent and dedicated faculty, supported by well equipped labs for science and a new generation media lab that offers customised multimedia learning, make information technology easily accessible to all our students. At the primary level, spoken english, creative writing, maths aptitude, building of a scientific temper and environmental science are given attention. The emphasis is not on text book learning. Children are taught concepts through everyday activities with the help of projects. SIPS follows a modern system of teaching. Over the years the school has developed its own teaching aids, worksheets and audio visual resource material. Teachers refer to encyclopedias and gain access to the internet for planning lessons. Flexibility is maintained while drafting  syllabi.

Curriculum in the middle school encourages students to research and survey. Current affairs and global issues become an integral part of education. In senior school, sufficient importance is given to ICSE and ISC board examinations with career counselling for future prospects. To cope with the curriculum the school maintains a well furnished library, science labs, a state-of-the-art computer lab with multimedia and internet, an audio-visual room with LCD projector, activity hall, music room and a sports field.
